I've never let a woman pay for anything when she was with me. Heck, I bought my friend Roni a houseplant one day. I guess I did make her give me a hug now and two to be named later, but she didn't lay out any cash. I even paid for everything the day my ex took me out to an amuesement park for my birthday. She was kind of mad towards the end of the night, "I'm supposed to be treating YOU!!" was yelled more than once.

However, I'd say I'm tight with my money, I hate spending money on trivalities. I don't mind paying for some things (food, movies, activities), but hate purchasing non essential items (toys, furnishings, clothing{new stuff}), if I've got something that works, I don't need anything new. I don't desire having a bunch of cra* filling my house. No one's going to want any of it when I'm gone, so why collect it now.

laugh

I was on a date several years back and after dinner I gave the waiter my card. He returned a few minutes later and said "Your card has been declined" My face turned red and then he said "we don't accept Piggly Wiggly cards here" Piggly Wiggly is a grocery store and the card was a customer card. blushing blushing Needless to say I gave him the right card and all was fine.

It depends on the situation. I've always been the sole provider in any significant relationship, so paying is often not even thought about. It just happens. I wouldn't call myself stingy, but I do consider whether or not helping someone out with a situation is actually hurting them, by making them helpless.

my ex would very rarley call me, because he didnt want to pay the bill, so instead i had to call him all the time, that was unfair. he was so stingy, it drove me mad, thats part of the reason i left him. i mean geeez he wont ring me, but he expects me to ring him all the time, no way!!!grumble grumble
