Since you wont listen to reason, and will only listen to those who know nothing about the publishing buisness, do yourself a favour. Before you spend a year writing the book, email the first chapter and an outline of what your finished book on giving advice will look like to 20 publishers and I guarantee you all will reject it. Save yourself a year. Think up a romance that is fresh, new and spicy and maybe some will ask to see more. It will save you a lot of grief. Trust me. Don't listen to boneheads that mean well but dont have a clue. First, I would not write a book in hopes to strike it rich or get it published the first time around. I am familiar with the publishing process for academic research. So, I am aware of the process of publishing. As much as I would rock at writing a romance novel, that is not purpose of possibly spending a year writing a book. As for spending a year to right a book, it would not be grief, it would be done for fun. My intentions are not to become a world-class writer; I already have a calling in life, which is not to be a professional writer. |

Cowgirlstomp, I did not take offence to your comment. Just merely commenting on what you had posted. I, too, have found someone from this site that I very much want to get to know better and spend my life doing do.
