True, a lot of people are afraid to get involved with someone who has a child from someone else, it's normal and bothers some more than others my advice is if her having a kid bothers you now you may become close and develop a relationship with both or you may resent that kid. If so save yourself and others from grief

Quit being a whimp and date this chick. It's sounds like you like her, and fifty miles is nothing. My last girlfriend was a six hour drive at 75mph, and worth every hour of the drive. Don't live in fear, go for the gusto and go out with her. Put in the time, and decide from an informed status whether you want to keep dating her or not.
