it's interesting because we all know that this stuff happens in
professional sports but it brings up an ethics qiestion. sports is
supposed to based on sportsmanship which is basically the integrity of
fair play(may the better man win)but professional sports has become such
a huge business that the temptation to cheat and use underhanded tactics
has apperently become to great for some of the people involved. i am not
going to pass judgement because we still don't have all the facts on
this story in particular, the patriots are being accused of
cheating(espionage)by signing a receiver off of the bills practice squad
and after picking his brain clean of the bills playbook they released
this guy from the team just before their game with buffalo. this type of
stuff has been happening for years from the spying from the booth and
reading the coaches lips as he calls the plays all the way to spying on
opposing teams practices and signing free agents so that they can use
his knowledge of the plays and schemes to their advantage. the only
reason this has come up is because i don't think that there has ever
been an instance reported before where they cut this player just before
the game. no wonder we have kids taking steroids and coaches teaching
youngsters illegal blocking techniques, the thinking seems to be that it
ain't cheating if you don't get caught.

I know right, they have lost the point...sports is suppose to be for fun
not so much I win, U lose, poor sportsmanship shit. It's done came down
a long time ago... I'm only in it for the pay and I get to play too.
uhh! People have become to gready these days to even know right from
wrong. They don't care anymore! I mean look at how come there's all
these/those fights that would break out in the basketball games.

when you don't love the game anymore but you still play for the money it
ruins the competitiveness of the sport i believe. you see alot of
coaches anymore who will cut a player with talent because they don't
wanna work for it. i have always said that i would rather have an
average talent with alot of heart and an unbeatable work etic over a
lazy superstar. the games are too long for anyone to take a play off

yeah, move out of the way and let someone who wants to play, play and be
good at it. But, also I know that alot of kids look up to these players
wanting to be like them...and when they see on t.v. that one of em' has
been arressted for god knows what or been kicked out of the game for
fighting it doesn't say much but, there u go.
