I've dated a lot of crazy people in my days, but I'd date a drug user before a drinker any day, especially a pot smoker, they are pretty easy going. I've had more trouble from my "social drinking friends" than I ever had from a druggie.

The concept of pot smokers is generally held from what people saw when they were in there early twenties. Of course the people we knew then were usually broke and didn't know what the he** we were doing anyway. But the smokers I know today, not only don't do other drugs (no coke, meth, shrooms, acid, opium, heroin or pills), but this is an older crowd. We've had our fun, and realized the safest way to do it is rarely.

And why does everyone always blame the drugs? It wasn't the drugs that caused the people you know to behave in f**ked up ways, it was the moron you were hanging with that couldn't handle his/her own limitations. I knew a guy that was a daily herion abuser, with two jobs, working on a doctorate in philosophy, played lead guitar in a band, and was in the process of buying a home. Drug use does not preclude to low lifestyle. Walt Disney liked to smoke opium, Freud loved his coke, Ted Kennedy loves his alcohol. People can have dependency problems and still lead active and contributing lives. Alot of how that is determined is by the reactions of the people around them. So how are you treating your so called "unfortunate" friends?

Now then, for all those who had terrible stories of friends who were using drugs at the time, I only have one question. Were they drinking alcohol too? I'm betting yes. You want to know what the most dangerous drug in America is? Want to know what the largest gateway drug is? Want to know what drug causes the most wrongful deaths a year? You can find the answer to all those questions in one area, your local liquor store or bar. So before you social drinkers get on us social smokers, think about what really causes the damage.

Would I date a woman that smoked pot? You bet, as long as she had her own, because I refuse to buy any drugs ever again.

I smoke pot...but at least I don't shoot up with heroin. There are worse things a person could do.

Nothing wrong with smoking pot, I did when I was younger and don't have a problem with it now.
