I work at a daycare, and there is one baby who is having a very hard time getting used to a bottle! He is used to being breast fed and just has the hardest time with a bottle it takes about an hour to get him to drink 5oz.
Anyone got any tips...

Be nice and let him have a nibble!

I think from the tap is better. I have to agree with him.

Have the mom start trying to give the baby a bottle. Warm the nipple of the bottle real good and wrap the baby up and hold it close...keep offering it he'll get it after a while.

tell the mom to try the disposible kind of bottles that you drop the plastic liners in....they use the big squared nipples and are more like a real nipple.....babies that are transitioning like that take those better.....i used to work at a daycare myself so i've been there

Well, not that you can do anything about...but, I was told that it needed to be done in three day intervals. Breast for two days then the bottle the third day, so on and so on. Until the baby gets it.
Question: Is it a boy??laugh

Try faster flow nipple on the bottle... when a breast has the 'letdown' reflex, the milk flow is rapid, and gradually slows into a rhythm...

This wee bubby has to do so much work for little reward.... he is wearing himself out trying to get a feed, whereas on the breast, he has to just gulp to start with...

also.. see if the mom will bring a blanket that she has cuddled or slept with.. the smell of the mom will help and the bigger nippled bottles are closer to mom.. so that they think its the same thing..
