I'm thinking if someone was to offer me a stick of gum to move someplace else I'd be there quicker than you could say 1,500 a month for property taxes....

1500 a month! Yikes! I started a new job in Durham so I have to drive an hour and a half each way..sometimes takes longer sometimes shorter depending on traffic - all highway. They had me travel to Philly and Atlanta and first week in July down to Florida. I put this house up for sale to see about moving to the Raleigh area. It's more lively there too! and Closer to the beach..I know it;s still 2 hours away but it's closer! Not much time left to play online :( Are you thinking of moving?

It's a bad time to sell...but a good time to buy! I think I am scheduled to go up to NY in Sept. Work alittle, see my brother and his family and visit with old friends.

Yes, gotta let the kids try to see their dad...last time we were up he said he had other plans...nice guy! I have friends in middle island too. If it;s long enough and the ferry is still running - I;d like to get over to Kismet. Boy I miss those days!

If you are out this way then ya better get in touch!! I'd love to meet you for lunch. The ferries are still running. Yes, if I do move off LI I will miss many aspects. There's a reason why 3 and a half million people live here. However, there are also many reasons why so many life long NYers are leaving the area...
