Am I good person?

I look in the mirror and ask it each day.

I try to do what I think is right but I cause pain.

I make decisions that leave destruction in my wake.

I try to do whats right but it seems to be wrong when it's done.

I'm honest only to find that the listener doesn't want to hear the truth.

I want to be thought of with smiles but see mostly tears.

I'm told "You are a nice guy!" so why do I feel guilty?

I say please, thank you, and hold the door.

I help others when no one else will only to be called sucker.

I follow the rules, do what's required but am called boring.

Am I a good person? Is it worth it?
