I now know why I have a full time job...
to pay for these damn fairs!  Twenty dollars a wristband for the rides. Thirty-some dollars trying to win this zebra, only to find out it's going to cost another 40 to actually win it. Twelve dollars winning some cuddly wolf. I never felt so broke. |

(((((((Dina))))))) That's so great about your paper almost being done fully!! I still can't believe you had to write a paper about the F bomb. I uploaded the "History of the F Word" onto my iPod, the one I was talking about earlier, where it was a website awhile ago. A little fact: The F Word first derived from the German word, Fricken, which means to strike.  Well, I actually chose the topic myself! If I have to write a paper, I want something that I'm interested in and at least have some background knowledge on! And there is one theory that the f-word is derived from the German word ficken (to ****, but with an earlier meaning of "to make quick movements to and fro") from where the Middle English word fike (to move restlessly or fidget) came. That is only one theory though. Other theories say that it stems from the Viking invasions of the 800s, that it existed in Old English, that it's from the Latin futuere, or that it even goes back to the Proto Indo-European root word peug (to stick) since through application of Grimm's Law, the p in IE would become an f in Germanic languages and the g would become the k. They are all just theories though, and none is non-refutable. Aren't you glad you asked?
