so im still having abdominal pain and ovary pains and i went to the stomach doctor today and on friday there giving me a cat scan. i was wondering if anyone has had one and what is it like? im kinda nervous

They arent bad. Just lay really still and if you are claustrophobic, you may want to close your eyes.

so im still having abdominal pain and ovary pains and i went to the stomach doctor today and on friday there giving me a cat scan. i was wondering if anyone has had one and what is it like? im kinda nervous its simple, you just lie there and they put you through a small tunnel. i had a abdo MRI, i think those show up more. in my opinion a laporoscopy will be there next step. |

No worries. It is easy. They inject you with dye which might make you have a flash of warmth (nothing really uncomfortable, just strange) then they lay you real straight and you slide into the tube. It really doesnt take very long at all, and if you are claustrophobic or very nervous, sometimes they will give you a little something to take the edge off. You feel the same coming out as you did going in. No problems and nothing to worry over.

so i had my ct scan and it wasn't as bad as i thought until i left i kinda fell to the floor after they took my iv out but im okay now. but next week im having a egd done so we'll see what happens! thanks for all of the advice

they said i still have a cyst on my ovaries but i shouldn't be in pain so they think it might be something in my stomach

There is nothing to worry about . If you have allergies , please let them know and this is very important . |
