just a slim observation here.....but I think you answered your own question without your Dad even being involved. First of all you don't love the guy (even if he is old).....really sweetie, age is nothing but a number!!!!!

But just by the "tone" of your writing this I could tell that you are wanting to end the relationship anyway, regardless of your Dad.

If you have to ask, you are too young for the 44 year old man. There's just SOMETHING Ann Landers-ish about this.
If older men in general beat their women, there wouldn't be any older men, now, would there??? laugh laugh laugh
Surely you wouldn't take to heart such a broad prejudicial statement like that without putting too much power in your Dad's opinion, as that would mean you are not thinking for yourself yet, still hanging on to Daddy's belt.
Not trying to be harsh, but please think about it. We should all strive to listen for input from our loved ones, but there's a point where we need to be able to discern.... Garbage in, garbage out.
Best wishes to you!! flowerforyou

You don't love him, but you've slept with him, but you hardly know him to love him, and the sex was blah, you are worried about heart attacks and you worry what your Dad's opinion is based on a broad statement. Hello?! Anyone? Is this one of those joke posts? grumble

I don't think there's a real issue with age difference for me, IF you love them! To have yawn sex with someone with no real emotional attachment would not be cool with me at any age, but I don't have to have yawn sex with your 44 year old toy, so it's not for me to say. JMO flowerforyou

Who's more important to you?
Is it really worth what it's (obviously) doing to your dad ?
