A girl describes herself in the words "i am .... very shy..."?

Please help me with translation: What does it mean? I see two completely opposite meanings: 1) suspicious, timid and 2) ready to unpredictable actions - like a horse

Some people find it easier to get to know people than others do. Being shy myself, I find it more difficult than my outgoing friends to be comfortable around people I don't know.

er that she is shy

umm she might have a feeling of insecurity, a lack of confidence and assertiveness maybe, difficulty in knowing what to say and how to say it

i would say shy is someone quiet at first, and opens more as you get to know him/her.

Thanks now i understood

she is shy

I was confused by "a shy horse" - it is hard to imagine a horse with a lack of confidence :) But now it occurs to me what in russian there's the same phrase for very young horses.

Thanks.
