If Would Have Only Known
If I would have only known that today would
be the last day that we would be together,
I would have made sure to say I Love You,
not getting upset when you left the wet
towel on the floor.
I would have made sure I gave
you a kiss and hug,
not yelling at you to straighten the rug.
If I had of only known that the end would
come tonight,
I would have held you oh so tight.
As I laid there sleeping next to you,
I had no idea that I was so close to losing you.
If I would have only known that my life
without you would be so stripped,
my dear this part I would have skipped.
My darling its time to say goodbye,
I have to close before i start to cry.
Your love I will always carry with me,
because in my heart you will always be.
