Walking into this ol'house,
everything is quiet,
no cat-n-mouse,
standing here,all alone,
only th' fire warming this ol'home,
silent whispers from this ol'mouse,
silent whispers in this ol'house,
just too quiet in this old home,
silent footsteps on this old stone,
walking around,all alone,
wondering where all th' memories have gone,
wondering where my memories have begun,
where are all my friends at,
standing here,wondering just that,
out and about,just getting out,
in th' park with th'kids,having fun,
out on th' town with their number one,
it's just too quiet in this ol' house,
so I sit at my desk,grabbing th' mouse,
thinking of writing,resting my bones,
thinking of writing,besting my poems,
but only th' fire warms these bones,
but only the fire,warms this home,
alone by th' fire,resting my bones,
is just too lonely in this ol' house,
tapping my keys,clicking th' mouse,
fire crackling,smells of wood smoke,
keys tickling,tells a good joke,
the only sounds from this ol'house,
alone by th' fire,is this ol'mouse,
telling how quiet is this ol'home,
memories of laughter,memories of love,
ghosts from th'past,or one I dream of,
feeling th' fire,smelling th' smoke,
writing a poem,telling a joke,
just too quiet in this ol' house,
tapping my keys,clicking th' mouse,

another poem,while th' mouse warms his bones,
