Thank you, Redshirt. I started on-line dating about 10 months ago. I had never heard of scammers until somebody told me about them. I have had a few "characters" email me this week. I just love it when a 19 y/o blue box from India wants to chat on Yahoo. Winx check you mail hx...that was me. I was trusting you. What do you expect from a former Missourian?? And my yearbooks are still hidden away.

Sounds more like Redshirt is one of those pinheads that actually fell for one of those transparent scams... "Caveat emptor"...it is all about..."buyer beware"...

SCAM ALERT!!! I sent away for a "mail order bride" and when FedEx delivered her...she had a sticker on her "box" that said "FACTORY RECONDITIONED" in the Virgin Islands.... true story...really...don't you believe me???

Sounds more like Redshirt is one of those pinheads that actually fell for one of those transparent scams... "Caveat emptor"...it is all about..."buyer beware"... Am member of a group of "pinheads" that works to keep others safe from scammers.

Scammer's have been around since the dawn of time, there is more availability with the growing popularity of the internet which causes a large security concern for many. When in doubt google a certain sentence or phrase that just jumps out at you, generally you will get a number of other references to the same names, places, or story. Snopes.com is also helpful from time to time. AND DON'T EVER SEND MONEY TO SOMEONE YOU'VE NEVER MET. That is all. anx
