mountains, been to the beach hundreds of times, rarely get to the mountains

You should try the Skyline Drive here in the Shenandoah Valley, most of the deer will even let you pet them. It's a beautiful place;^]
not sure where Shenandoah Vally is, but here in Buffalo, NY there's no mountains, plenty of beachs tho

It's the great valley of Virginia, though the mountains also run through the carolinas (blue ridge mountains). No matter how much I go up there I always want to go back over & over, it's that great;^]
OMG OMG I have been there but didn't get to spend much time...I will be back though, cause I spend most of my winters in VA or FL. Really looking forward to the whole drive next time, might even stay the weekend. Lovely! flowerforyou

hehe, there's plenty of great camping spots up there. They do have black bears too but they're super tame, I filmed one once from about 10 yards away & had no reason to fear, it's just great even better than dougbtthat state park (must've spelled that wrong..lol). I should work for our chamber of commerce I tell ya..lol;^]
I had a black bear approach my tent in a camp grounds across the road from Dismal swamp once...and thought I saw a panther there too. That was when I first started going there and thought it was pretty scary, but way kewl too. VA has the best of all worlds really. Swamps, mountains, shoreline, fabulous! I'll prolly retire there if I get my way. bigsmile
