When you find someone you're interested in, do you talk to others too, or do you wait to see where things will go first with the person you're talking to? Still not sure about how to go about handling that sort of thing when it comes to online dating.

Online is totally different .. cuz they are here today, gone tomorrow. Keep your options open until you meet in person .. I put my life on hold more than once only to meet and be disappointed ....

never again

i continue to talk to others because i want a back up option in case things go bad with one.some might say i'm wrong about that but i think of it as planning ahead smokin

plnning ahead? so then do you always expect a relationship not to work? if so What's the point of tryying to find something you believe doesn't really exist.

I would rather be single then go out with someone that I have doubts with for a good relationship....

That's my opinion anyways.

do you buy a pair of shoes without trying it on? and if try a pair which doesn't fit do you give up trying another pair. I don't:smile:

If you are a size 10 and you see a size what lookst to be a size 3, are you still going to try it on.....that would not make to much sense to me, but againg, maybe that's just my opinion.

Yeah so now i'm quoting myself, but also think of it like this. when you re trying on a pair of shoes, do you do so while your old shoes are still on... I never tried that, but some how I would assume that it wouldn't work... but then yeah that probably doesn't make any sense(sarcasm)

I have seen that done too buy it without trying if doesn't fit take it back unfortunate. Do it your way I have no problems My way works and that matters. All the women I meet and I meet many all agree we are buying shoes my way and they do the same so you pays your money and you takes your choice.
Now you can quote and double quote as much as you like lets take a look at your profile and compare it to mine and see which way of thinking wins friends. And friends my dear friend is what I am here for and so lovely it is too

Well then I guess we have our own waysof doing things, but me personally I tend to go to go for one person and then see where things go, but then I do it with my focus on that one woman rather than on several. It just seems more honest to me.

Yeah this is kind of what I'm thinking too, less confusing this way.

If other party knows and does it too there is no honesty issue involved. I guess you have a lot of time on your hands . In a real world none of us have a lot of time. Like you said you do it your way And I will do it my way and best of luck.

I'll talk with others until he tells me he wants an exclusive committed sexual/emotional relationship. HOWEVER, what is sauce for the goose is also sauce for the gander. It damn well better be, or I'll be out of there so fast it will make his head spin.

Value what you have and take care if it, or you just may lose it.

Unfortunately, some keep the less novel pair till they find a new one, instead of returning them to the store where they found them. Thereby, denying someone who would love, care for, and cherish them for the precious finds they are. It is called greed and selfishness.

For some, the new is always more enticing or "in" that the tried and true.

I agree. I may have lost someone on here because I still am friends with my ex. My relationship with my ex is unusual to say the least. She divorced me, but she has told me she somehow still can't live without me in her life. Things have happened since the divorce that have ensured we will never get back together again, but somehow she is still my friend. Unfortunately, her friendship, along with a few other possible things may have helped scared off the girl I like here on JSH. I made my choice and told my ex about her, and she understood that we might have to finally part ways completely to allow me to be with the girl I like. Unfortunately, that may have happened too late.... Trying to play it both ways can be risky, you need to figure out what you want and what you are willing to risk losing. Once you know that, you may be surprised at what you find out about yourself and your feelings.... Good luck my friend.
