I think early Thursday morning around 4:30, a guy's truck broke down on the freeway and he attempted to cross the freeway and cars hit him from 5-40 times and the I-10 freeway was closed down for 4 hours. I was told it looked like a litter of puppies got hit. That is Arizona drivers for ya.

The one thing you DON'T want to do when dealing with a broken-down vehicle is to try to cross the freeway, as you'll surely be turned into road pizza. The best thing to do would be to try to coast off to the shoulder of the freeway, where you can then use your cell phone or use a call-box to call for help.
If you CAN'T get to the shoulder, stay in the vehicle above all else, as that's the safest place to be, even if you're accidently hit from behind by a careless driver. Be sure to turn your warning lights on, too. |

I talked to my mom about it and she said they interviewed the roommate or sister or someone and he probably was drunk. But he did pull off on the shoulder but god knows why he crossed the freeway. If anything I would of stayed away from the freeway and hopped a fence or something like that.

it happens..... try watching a friend die on the bike in front of ya!! squished by oncoming traffic on the freeway he was drunk Not ever seen it happening, but I saw way too much working on an ambulance. Try telling a group of doctors and dentists on their weekend motorcycle ride there is nothing you can do for their friend and colleague who was hit by a car. It aint fun, but bad things happen. You just have to find a reason to keep going on sometimes...
