I have heard and read good things about this album, yeah. If Soulfly's last album was any indication, Max is getting back to his thrashier roots. This is a good thing. I like the CC samples that I have heard on their myspace page, even though the lyrics seem a bit dumbed down (at least relative to prime Sepultura).
It would be sweet if the Sepultura boys eventually reformed. Arise is a top ten thrash album for me, and Beneath the Remains is not far behind. This CC project is a good step, and I'd bet money that they eventually do a reunion deal. |
