it seems i would make a good blacksmith, i gave the fella that does the steel the idea for my caps, and helped shape them. they have hooks in them that help them stay on so i can run someone through with them and i wont lose them on the pull out

I was thinking they were threaded on, kinda like a wood screw molded into the middle, and they were screwed into your horns.

i had thought about that, but i like the hooks better, they come off easier when i want them off quick.
