As I woke up this morning, I start a new decade upon my life, a life that has travelled, loved, fought for my country, laughed, cried, and yet still able to keep going.
I remember the 70's, the disco era, rollerskating, funny plaid pants, Nixon, Watergate, first baseball and football game, and the centennial of the fourth of the July.
I remember the 80's, high school, first loves,first kiss, boot camp, first tattoo, big hair bands,and seeing my parents divorce.
I remember the 90's, Clinton administation, first marriage, first divorce, first real heartbreak, Going to Germany, and having a blast.
Now comes the new 2000's, what will become of me? What type of person will I be when I retire? Will I grow old alone, or have someone there to hold my hand as we look into the sunset?
I guess I will just have to see, for my life just improves each year as I get older.
I write this for myself, and to anyone else that might have seen some of the things I have, and hopefully smile and think back on your own life and to what it may become!
