There will always be someone you like more than the other...no one will ever like two people equally the same no matter how much you try to convince yourself. Why lead the new guy on just to keep him in layaway; it's so wrong and not fair to him, he;s a rebound. You have to make up your mind. Besides, it's not healthy to move on to a new relationship if you have not truly set yourself free of the other one, you're just going to end up fooling yourself. If he's treating you like a "jerk" it is only because you are ALLOWING it, people treat you negatively because you permit them to. Respect yourself and he'll respect you. I'm still in love with my ex and although he wants to work things out, I rather move on with my life and not look backwards but that's just me.
