I prefer honesty I honestly feel that some do not want to place any energy into getting to know someone. They would rather make an appearance, leaving you to do the 'work'. If they receive 'matches' to email, they will cruise the profiles and decide on their own if they will email or not depending on superficial crap, et al. Some would check out what is going on the the thread at the time of an invite and deem it worthy or not based on who is currently in the thread. Just MO.
