How far would you go to help out a very good friend who needs help or is in trouble. I personally have gone beyond the call of duty more than a few times, even though I knew helping help my friend could potentially affect my personal life negatively. Would you go that far?

I do anything and everything my friends need when they need help or are in trouble..even if it could have a negative impact on me..that's just who I am.

My friend let me live with her once after I had to move from another state. I love her for that, and would reciprocate that in kind or whatever she needed.

That is what friends are for.

i have always helped friends in all circumstances and never expected any favours back until recently I was desperate for help and one of these friends assisted without making me feel awkward or anything

I've gone out on a limb countless times, thats just Me, so I know exactly what You mean...Real friends are their brothers keeper even when it brings some negativity into theirs lives, trust Me I've had My share and also needed some help a time, or two..I have certain friends that I would stand behind no matter what and vice versa, but then I have some pretty good friends that I would help if needed, but I'm not sure if the favor would be returned... My personal thing is loyalty and if You don't stand for something You'll fall for anything, so I stand by My friends the best I can and hope that they will be there to catch Me when I fall, although thats back fired a time, or two as well,lol....

My best friend of over ten yrs slid slowly back into mental illness and alcoholism. Haven't had a friend as close since.

Please do not take this as anything but a constructive suggestion ..We as humans have an obligation to be good stewards to all and anything we are involved with..This would include the treatment of friends...please do not do anything for anyone expecting a reward or possible future payback...Bad karma is created with that thought process...I think it is much better to do the right thing for the person because it is the right thing to do , rather than do it for the reward of friendship or expectations of any kind..That's only my opinion . ..Myself, I prefer to help animals.

I wouldnt consider not helping a friend of mine if I am capable of helping them
