Lily, as much as I like handing out advice I'm not a trained
Psychiatrist, My advice would be to seek help,Chances are you'll need some form of medication for your Condition. No one here that I know of is qualified to give such a prognosis.I know, I'm just as bad off as you are. |

Dane is right -- there are a lot of people here who certainly would be
willing to talk and listen and advise to the best of their abilities, but a professional would be able to do more for you in the long run. There are a lot of components to depression, and getting to the roots of it can be a long and complicated process, one that does not always lend itself to an internet format. You need to see someone who can devote regular time to you on a face-to-face basis. It never hurts to talk about these things in a venue like JSH, but we are, unfortunately limited by the inherent constraints of this kind of format. Good luck! |

I agree with what everyone has said above, I deal with depression too,
it is hard to come out of. You really need someone professional to help you with it, and maybe meds. You can always go to an emergency room if you need emergent help, they cannot turn you away if you don't have insurance, and some have sliding fee scales according to income, and some medical clinics do too, and mental health agencies also. The town I live in does. Is there a mental health crisis line where you live? They are 800 numbers and have people at the end of them who will talk to you and help you coordinate getting help. A family doctor is a good place to start, they can prescribe antidepressants to get you started. If you don't have a family doctor I would go to an urgent care clinic, they will see you and refer you to a family physician to get you started with a family doctor and get your care started. I really hope you get some help, it is horrible to feel trapped and alone, I have been there myself, but you are not alone, you have us on here and we all want you to feel better. Take care of yourself. |

Hi, I've been thru the whole suicidal thing from my past and being
around the block a few times. It's actually a lot more normal than some people would have u belive but still not a good place. I'd check yourself into the hospital and then a mental hospital, trust me they aren't what most people make you think they are. They actually help and it's like college (was for me) ,but do that or call those hotlines but if u ever need to someone that knows that stuff message me I don't sugarcoat stuff like most people do that don't know their a*s from a hole in the ground. But I know all that stuff well. Good luck though it can be rough. |

go see a professional. i'm depressed too, but with medication and
counseling, i'm ok again. therapists are great; they act as a completely objective listener. they don't judge, and you can tell them anythinng, because you don't have to face them when you're out in the real world, at work or whatnot. writing in a journal also helped me. |

Check in your area for the suicide prevention hotline. They can steer
you in the right direction for help. I know ALOT of peeps dont have medical coverage but there is free help out there BUT YOU GOTTA ASK FOR HELP. |
