Nurse J here, ok when did you break it, recently a long time ago, if recently go to the doctor, if awhile ago, and esp in the AM it could be because your nares[nostrils] got dried out through the night and this some times causes bleeding, and if its bleeding alot and often go to the Doctor. J

See an ENT Dr. you'll need a follow up anyway to get it fixed since somebody's insurance is paying for it.

How much bleeding, like a drop or two is kinda normal if you were bending over, WHICH i'M SURE THEY TOLD YOU NOT TO DO RIGHT????? You could have some blood in your nasal cavity that stays fairly fresh from the moisture that is what is coming out.
Any more than that and you should go to the Dr or the ER depending how severe it is. |

lisinopril shouldn't thin your blood - just lower your pressure...so it would have to be another medicine if you
are concerned about that... it might be that the nature of your break has cut a larger vessel which is easily reopened. i'd definitely check with your doc if you continue to have a lot of bleeding they may be able to help you staunch it better or give you something to make it easier for it to heal. good luck and sorry to hear of your accident. |

If it bleeds often... with out even blunt trauma it could be a bad sign
Needless to say, DON'T PICK YOUR BLOODY NOSE! Do not lift any heavy objects (more than 20 pounds); do not strain or bend over for long periods. Sneeze with your mouth open (this will lessen the force of the sneeze). Keep your nose moist, use a humidifier if you can, use nasal moisturizers. keep nose above heart and lean forward to not increase blood pressure in nose and to have it exist through nostrils and not drip into back of throat.... pinch lower nose for 5 mins ... or till bleeding stops... if bleeds for over 20 mins go to your dr. |

call your doc peccy... may be your blood pressure... might need to cauterize your nose from accident... who knows... but its not worth risking just ignoring it
