How about I stir up more controversy and not settle it....If you successfully met and united with someone why would you still even be on a dating site? There are other ways to stay in contact with friends. Isn't staying on the site kind of like keeping your options open? Not at all! I have plenty of friends (who are JUST friends and always will be) on here. |

How about I stir up more controversy and not settle it....If you successfully met and united with someone why would you still even be on a dating site? There are other ways to stay in contact with friends. Isn't staying on the site kind of like keeping your options open? Funny, that's what I thought when I found the guy I was dating still had active profiles on Match.com and Yahoo Personals! I will admit I have come to think of JSH as a 'friendship site' rather than a dating one. |

i imagine they are furiously redrafting the bylaws and checkboxes to make certain that any newcomers to the site have acknowledged and pledged their full commitment to this NEW POLICY. any changes to the POLICY require unanimous consent of the board. |

TheCaptain and I met on this site and we do have pictures of the both of us on our individual profiles. Because they are our individual profiles, we also post pictures of just one or even of silly things because we are still individuals.....if you understand what I am trying to say.
We clearly state in our profiles that we are here for friends now. We have made so many dear friends on here that to get all of their email addresses would be crazy!! I am lucky I can keep my own families emails straight never mind 60 or 70 more. This is a place for us to come and chat and keep an eye out for those who's health isn't the greatest right now. Eileen

i say personal choice.
and i to have come to think of this more as a social site than a dating site. i dont think i ever really expected to meet someone from here. i just came here for the threads, and the friendships that i have made along the way. if the people who have made lifelong relationships want to post couple pictures.. let them, and i like to see the happy people, they give us hope...
