I am somebody,, I breathe, I cry, I get angry,, I am full of emotions I believe every being is somebody,, I am in control of my life my existance My well being,, right or wrong,,, I am somebody I believe life here is just an extention of our Future,, A life in which I believe I once lived long ago,, a continuing circle of life,,, I wake up as do you I sleep as do you,,, I look at life as a blessing,, and take the negative out if at all possible,,, My body, mind and Soul are as one,,, and when balanced daily,, the Flow well,, in my Eyes is quite amazing,,, I meditate,, I pray,, maybe not to the same God as others My worldly advisor I like to call him/her,,,lol... I will continue to seek Knowledge to enlighten my Spirit,, Within I will ponder what is needed and cast away what is not,,,, I am human and so not perfect yet I am perfect for me My Imperfections are lovely to me... To be alive is to be somebody. There is no way to be alive and not be somebody. Absence of life is the only way to be nobody. To me at least. Except of course in instances of when I asked my children who did it and they said "Nobody". In that case nobody is somebody as it was one of the kids but I still don't know which one..lol

In the absence of a philosophy section, I put this "out-there" in here I would like some answers that you feel apply to you. Use your "faith", lack of faith or whatever you feel applies to you. So, question 1 What does it mean to be a "somebody" rather than a "nobody"? There are no nobodies..... cause God doesn't make nobodies.....just somebodies.

I can choose to be alone or I can choose to be lonely. If I choose to be lonely than 'somebody' is missing. So I often choose to be alone, thereby recognizing I am with myself and 'nobody' is missing at all.

So, question 1 What does it mean to be a "somebody" rather than a "nobody"? My first questions would be: 1.) What does it have to do with religion? 2.) What does it have to do with the word non-denominational? It seems like more of a semantics question to me. So here is my answer: If I go into a room and a person is there, I would say that "somebody" is in the room. If I go into a room and it is empty, I would say that "nobody" is there. That's just me. If you tend to think in classes of people, then the important people are sometimes called "somebody." and the "unimportant" people might be referred to as "nobody." If you go into a bar and there are only a few unknown people there and not anybody you were looking for you might tell your friends: "I went to the bar but nobody was there." They might assume the bar was empty but they might understand that you meant that nobody "significant" was there. In that case a "somebody" (the noun) could be defined as: "A significant or important person." and a "nobody" (used as a noun) might mean: "an insignificant person."
