the union has no power or little power, we realy can only take what is given by big business, rarely do we ever stand up for principle

You desire to pay much more for every good made in america that is already outpriced by the majority of goods made over seas? The time for unions is long gone. there is still time for a bounce back and people will always want more cause more only matters when it is more of what you want. As long as people work there will always be griping and moaning cause everyone wants to make more on the job regardless. I think the Union could actually be advantagous to this country.

how can you compare union to socialism?

How can you not? It is a free market, if you dont like the wages being paid you move onto gainful employment elsewhere. WHy should the employer pay you what you THINK you are worth rather than fair market value? Nobody holds a gun to your head and tells you that you have to take a job once you know what the pay scale there is. Did you start that company? Did you finance that company? DId you develope the idea or the market for that company? Was it your 20+ hour days that went into building it? How conceited are you to think you have the right to tell them what to pay? Start your own competing company and pay what you think is fair. You wouldn't like it if I came into your home and told you what tv, car, microwave, clothing, etc to buy

Look I don't need to watch any video. I worked for a union company, my father owned his own company, and I own my own. If someone tried telling me I had to pay them a certain amount or I would no longer be allowed to operate as a business I would break their kneecaps with a ball bat. If you want the power to decide wages start your own compnay., DO not whine about the world treating you badly if you do not have the testicular fortitude to do so. There are leaders in this world and followers, it is up to you to choose your own path. DO not try to dictate my course of action because you chose poorly for yourself

Ok, that is fair enough, but what exactly do you buy that is American? A lot of jobs were outsourced to other countries because of one of the factors that you yourself are a flag carrier for. I know of 4 companies that paid good wages that moved due to people organizing a union in those factories. You know what it got them? Their plant closed down, and jobs moved out of state, or overseas. Sometimes when you play with fire you get burned

in the past the union policed itself....they gave warnings and fired people for not carrying their weight......and the company was fine with this because they got the most for their money.....negotiations they got whatever they asked for....

how many union reps would offer a company this today........

I think the downward trend in wages and the riseing costs of goods will again force a social change to avoid a revelution of the people.
