...to those who served and are serving now; to those who were wounded; to those who perished; and to their loved-ones:

Thank you for your service, and your sacrifice. Thank you.

Oh I sure heard that, sir! Might have saved me 20 or so years of political stupidity, thinking the problem was America, not realizing that Reagan was exactly right when he referred to America as the Shining City on the Hill of history.

Thank you again. Have a great day.

Memorial Day is a United States Federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (in 2008 on May 26). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who perished while in military service to their country.

To my fallen brothers and sisters, this is your Day!!flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou drinker drinker

Much respect to those who have given up their lives to defend our way of life.

Til the day that peace is the norm and war is something they talk about like we do when we discuss Neanderthals, I'm glad to know there are good men and women who took that oath to Constitution and seek to carry it out.

That's all I was looking for in my original post, not a sign-on to whether Iraq was a good idea or not. Props, sir.

There's a time for political debates in these threads, but this one is not one of those. I don't have to endorse the politics, but I'll be dead before I'll ignore the men and women who are bleeding their lifes blood to ensure that I have the ability to dissent against policies I find reprehensible.
and big Props to you for starting this thread!
