She holds his hand and touches the ring. "I dont know what to say, Rathil, except, if you were stabbed in an area that would instantly kill you than the ring becomes useless?"

You know, I am honestly not sure
*He says with a wink* I have never really wanted to test that theory out though. |

The bafoon didnt keep his wound clean after the fight he had with the orcs. Now he is sick from the bite." she shrugs her head thinking, darn him anyway. |

"Thank you Rathil, but I have to get him conscious first." she goes to the kitchen and grabs a glass and a rag hanging on a hook. She comes back in the tavern and fills the glass with cool water. "I'll go up to tend to him and if you bring back the clothes you are wearing, I would be happy to mend them for you. I do all sorts of things." She starts walking up the stairs |
She goes up the stairs and enters Dravens room. She kneels down beside him with the green vial that Rathil gave her. She soaks the rag, pulls the blanket back and dabs his forehead. She mumbles to herself. "If I dont get him up one way..Ill get him up long enough to drink it another way!"

Ranar enters the inn he takes a seat at a near by table. takes his lute out of his pack and plays a song
A dragon has come to our village today. We've asked him to leave, but he won't go away. Now he's talked to our king and they worked out a deal. No homes will he burn and no crops will he steal. Now there is but one catch, we dislike it a bunch. Twice a year he invites him a virgin to lunch. Well, we've no other choice, so the deal we'll respect. But we can't help but wonder and pause to reflect. Do virgins taste better than those who are not? Are they salty, or sweeter, more juicy or what? Do you savor them slowly? Gulp them down on the spot? Do virgins taste better than those who are not? Now we'd like to be shed you, and many have tried. But no one can get through your thick scaly hide. We hope that some day, some brave knight will come by. 'Cause we can't wait around 'til you're too fat to fly. Now you have such good taste in your women for sure, They always are pretty, they always are pure. But your notion of dining, it makes us all flinch, For your favorite entree is barbecued wench. Now, I am a dragon. Please listen to me. For I'm misunderstood to a dreadful degree. This ecology needs me and I know my place. But I'm fighting extinction with all of my race. Well, I came to this village to better my health Which is ever so poor, despite all my wealth. But I get no assistance and no sympathy, Just impertinent questioning shouted at me. Yes, virgins taste better than those who are not. But my favorite snack mixed with peril is fraught. For my teeth will decay and my trim go to pot. Yes, virgins taste better than those who are not. Well, I'm really quite kind almost all through the year. Vegetarian ways are now mine out of fear. But a birthday needs sweets as I'm sure you'll agree. And barbecued wench tastes like candy to me As it happens our interests are almost the same. You see I'm really quite skillful at managing game. If I ate just your men, would your excess decline? Of course not, the rest would just make better time. Now, the number of babies a woman can bear Has limits, and that's why my prunings done there. And an orphan's a sad sight and so when I much. I'm careful to eat only virgins for lunch |

*Rathil reenters the inn. It seems he went by the guild house and got a fresh change of clothes. He comes in and takes a seat behind the bar.*
Draven opened his eyes long enough to drink the vial that Rathil gave her...He is resting now, but still on the floor, because he is too big to move.
She descends down the stairs and walks over to a table. "Hi Rathil, Alatariel!" She drops on the chair with a sigh. |
Rathil replies, "Hello halfling, and how is our friend Draven doing?"
Calliope replies, "He seems to be resting quietly. Wait till he wakes up...Im gonna saw off his horns next time." |
"Rathil, the training is tonight at the guild, right?" she looks at him for a reassuring response.
"Yes it is and you cant be late...It is first come, first serve." *he winks at her again* |

Ranar plays another song
Through a market, I wandered and prayed That I'd find me a woman I might marry some day. Well, I never dreamed when I prayed that prayer That the woman I longed for was standing there. When she held me in her arms that night, I held her close, and I held her tight. And I swore that day forth, I'd love her all of me life. When she held me in her arms that night. She smelled of the sweetest lilac skin. And I admit it now it drew me in Oh, her voice cast a spell I could not disobey. Every word was a river that swept me away. Oh, the market became a more beautiful place: The flowers more fragrant, and the clothing all lace. And her eyes, oh, her eyes! They begged me to stay And twenty years later, I've not regretted a day. |

That is a beautiful song Ranar.
