2012 has been put in so many minds from the Media and even religous shows. That people are starting to believe it is starting and the world will end or this age in the year 2012. Not from biblical rendering but from several sources. The one that comes to my mind is the mayan (?) prophecy clock. Be aware this sort of turmoil must happen and very well may be starting.Scripture is being interpreted to go along with this scare.Maybe this Forum can repeat what is going on if any in your area of the world.But when things start and people start to get scared they fullfill the very prophecy they are running from.Here are some verses and a news release i find very interesting. But do not be afraid because the end of 2012 and the rucuss has to happen. Energy fears looming, new survivalists prepare

BUSKIRK, N.Y. - A few years ago, Kathleen Breault was just another suburban grandma, driving countless hours every week, stopping for lunch at McDonald's, buying clothes at the mall, watching TV in the evenings.

That was before Breault heard an author talk about the bleak future of the world's oil supply. Now, she's preparing for the world as we know it to disappear.

Breault cut her driving time in half. She switched to a diet of locally grown foods near her upstate New York home and lost 70 pounds. She sliced up her credit cards, banished her television and swore off plane travel. She began relying on a wood-burning stove.

"I was panic-stricken," the 50-year-old recalled, her voice shaking. "Devastated. Depressed. Afraid. Vulnerable. Weak. Alone. Just terrible."

Convinced the planet's oil supply is dwindling and the world's economies are heading for a crash, some people around the country are moving onto homesteads, learning to live off their land, conserving fuel and, in some cases, stocking up on guns they expect to use to defend themselves and their supplies from desperate crowds of people who didn't prepare.

The exact number of people taking such steps is impossible to determine, but anecdotal evidence suggests that the movement has been gaining momentum in the last few years.

These energy survivalists are not leading some sort of green revolution meant to save the planet. Many of them believe it is too late for that, seeing signs in soaring fuel and food prices and a faltering U.S. economy, and are largely focused on saving themselves.

Some are doing it quietly, giving few details of their preparations — afraid that revealing such information as the location of their supplies will endanger themselves and their loved ones. They envision a future in which the nation's cities will be filled with hungry, desperate refugees forced to go looking for food, shelter and water.

"There's going to be things that happen when people can't get things that they need for themselves and their families," said Lynn-Marie, who believes cities could see a rise in violence as early as 2012.

Lynn-Marie asked to be identified by her first name to protect her homestead in rural western Idaho. Many of these survivalists declined to speak to The Associated Press for similar reasons.

These survivalists believe in "peak oil," the idea that world oil production is set to hit a high point and then decline. Scientists who support idea say the amount of oil produced in the world each year has already or will soon begin a downward slide, even amid increased demand. But many scientists say such a scenario will be avoided as other sources of energy come in to fill the void.

On the PeakOil.com Web site, where upward of 800 people gathered on recent evenings, believers engage in a debate about what kind of world awaits.

Some members argue there will be no financial crash, but a slow slide into harder times. Some believe the federal government will respond to the loss of energy security with a clampdown on personal freedoms. Others simply don't trust that the government can maintain basic services in the face of an energy crisis.

The powers that be, they've determined, will be largely powerless to stop what is to come.

Determined to guard themselves from potentially harsh times ahead, Lynn-Marie and her husband have already planted an orchard of about 40 trees and built a greenhouse on their 7 1/2 acres. They have built their own irrigation system. They've begun to raise chickens and pigs, and they've learned to slaughter them.

The couple have gotten rid of their TV and instead have been reading dusty old books published in their grandparents' era, books that explain the simpler lifestyle they are trying to revive. Lynn-Marie has been teaching herself how to make soap. Her husband, concerned about one day being unable to get medications, has been training to become an herbalist.

By 2012, they expect to power their property with solar panels, and produce their own meat, milk and vegetables. When things start to fall apart, they expect their children and grandchildren will come back home and help them work the land. She envisions a day when the family may have to decide whether to turn needy people away from their door.

"People will be unprepared," she said. "And we can imagine marauding hordes."

So can Peter Laskowski. Living in a woodsy area outside of Montpelier, Vt., the 57-year-old retiree has become the local constable and a deputy sheriff for his county, as well as an emergency medical technician.

"I decided there was nothing like getting the training myself to deal with insurrections, if that's a possibility," said the former executive recruiter.

Laskowski is taking steps similar to environmentalists: conserving fuel, consuming less, studying global warming, and relying on local produce and craftsmen. Laskowski is powering his home with solar panels and is raising fish, geese, ducks and sheep. He has planted apple and pear trees and is growing lettuce, spinach and corn.

Whenever possible, he uses his bicycle to get into town.

"I remember the oil crisis in '73; I remember waiting in line for gas," Laskowski said. "If there is a disruption in the oil supply it will be very quickly elevated into a disaster."

Breault said she hopes to someday band together with her neighbors to form a self-sufficient community. Women will always be having babies, she notes, and she imagines her skills as a midwife will always be in demand.

For now, she is readying for the more immediate work ahead: There's a root cellar to dig, fruit trees and vegetable plots to plant. She has put a bicycle on layaway, and soon she'll be able to bike to visit her grandkids even if there is no oil at the pump.

Whatever the shape of things yet to come, she said, she's done what she can to prepare.

World was suppose to end in 2004, when a brown dwarf star was going to come between the earth and the sun and stop the rotation of the earth. 2012 was based on the mian calendar , the problem is if thay new how to read it thay would have known it happend a few months ago .

A few days ago we were having a discussion on the possibility of oil being the earth's "lubricant"....

Also discussed oil as being beneficial to earth, but in the form of gasoline, with its fumes,creating conflicts among mankind and being the destruction of earth .....

How many times have various people predicted the end of the world only to wake up disillusioned and still here? Pastors Chuck Meade, Charles Smith, Leland Jensen, Lester Sumrall, Pat Robertson, and perhaps best known failed "end of times" commentator--Hal Lindsey. Lindsey has been wrong a laughable number of times but still his books were devoured by those for whom rapturous fantasy was (and in some cases still is) a way of life.

In fact, a look back through history shows thousands of similar predictions.

All have been wrong so I would not plan on avoiding the IRS in 2012.

But people should be aware that one single flare from the sun can knock out the power grids...

We lost power in our little town here one day and within 15 minutes you could not even purchase a loaf of bread at the store because all computers were down.

Banks computers will go down and I'de like to see you get your money out of the bank in that situation.

Loosing the power grid is just one of the least of the problems we could have in 2012.

2012 Dec 21, is when our sun crosses over to the other side of the galaxy passing through the galactic equator. It is the end of an age on that date.

I am quite sure we will make it through, although things could change.

I think religious people are the least faithful of all.

So what if the world ends?

If people truly believe in a spirit world then they should just shrug their shoulders and say, "So what?"

Endless a person believes that they are destined to eternal damnation they shouldn't care in the least, on the contrary they should be jumping up and down with joy.

Also, if they think they are destined to eternal damnation why worry about the end of the world coming? They could die at any moment anyway. They may not even make it do some future doomsday event.

Also, we all die. It's the very nature of life. Nothing lives forever. So is it really all that important about how or when we die?

Doomsday prophecies are the silliest things. Even if they are true it would be silly to worry about them. I think most of these are started either by sadists who just like to scare people, or by Christians who also like to scare people into believing that if they don't convert to Christianity before a doomsday event (which is always eminent), then it will be too late and they will be sent to hell for all of eternity.

The very idea that what a human might do in a brief flash of time here on earth would determine their fate for all of eternity is a ludicrous idea to begin with. And God who had designed such a predicament for his creation would be far from compassionate. On the contrary to design such a scenario would truly be the sadistic act of a demon certainly not an all-loving, all-compassionate, merciful God. That's absurd to begin with.

On a personal note I'm always ready to meet my maker. So it doesn't matter to me when I die. I'm ready all the time. There is nothing I would need to do if I discovered that I was going to die in the next hour except maybe arrange for someone to adopt my cat. And in a doomsday event I wouldn't even need to worry about that because the cat would be coming with me.

Come to think of it, a doomsday event would be less bothersome than the death of a single person because there would be no loose ends to tie up.

As I say, it would only be bothersome for those who may believe that they are hell-bound. I don't believe that God is a sadistic demon to begin with, so that isn't even a consideration from my point of view. And even if that scenario was true, I certainly haven't earned the privilege to be sent to hell anyway. Any so-called God who would allow that to happen would be far less compassionate and merciful than myself. If that's the case it wouldn't be much of a God to start with.

So bring it on. If the end of the world is coming I'll get out my lawn chair out and see if I can pick a good spot to watch it until I'm finally consumed by it myself.

I plan to do the same.

SATURN: Saturn�s polar regions have been noticeably brightening, and its magnetic field strength increasing.

URANUS: According to NASA�s Voyager II space probe, Uranus and Neptune both appear to have had recent magnetic pole shifts � 60 degrees for Uranus and 50 for Neptune.

NEPTUNE: Neptune has become 40 percent brighter in infrared since 1996, and is fully 100-percent brighter in certain areas. Also, Neptune�s moon Triton has had a �very large percentage increase� in atmospheric pressure and temperature, comparable to a 22-degree Fahrenheit increase on Earth.

PLUTO: As of September 2002, Pluto has experienced a 300-percent increase in its atmospheric pressure in the last 14 years, while also becoming noticeably darker in color.

2012 will pass without too much consequence just like the millenium did. The end of the world has been predicted since the beginning of man and it has passed every time without and end.

I think man fears his end and has to create a time or source for the ending to pretend that he has some control or knowledge of it.

We could have an end of the world at any day and time, we are at the mercy of mother nature and that includes a meteorite from outer space hitting so it could be any day or night. People must remember we are but specs of sand to mother nature, of little consequence.

I watched him as he went into a trance and started saying The L-rd G-d says that on june 8th will be the biggest earthquake in the history of the world. All of them on this show after he came out of this trance said they knew for sure this was going to happen because they could feel the l-ords prescence. They could not wait for june 8th.The 700 club quickly jumped on the bandwagon and they both for about 3 months this was all both shows talked about. I wanted to see how far they were going to take this because so many people give to these organizations. FYI Pat Robertson is worth over 100 million dollars. Pretty good field of study he went into. Well June 8th came and i wanted to see what they were going to say. They would not back down just like Israel Hawkins and claimed the greatest earthquake in the worlds history did take place. Pat sat thier as did TBN look right in that camera and said. we have proof the prophecie came to pass. You did not feel anything because it was so far down in the earth we just could not feel it. Now thats pretty good to still have so many people giving to them believing whatever they say not questioning just how funny this was. I was dying laughing when i heard him say this and here they were being as serious as can be. So i wonder what does it take for a ministry to be task and make them show us these proofs. The blind following the blind. Now we have a new one that is way more dangerous than all of them. People are very possibly bring thier predictions of death in the street and shooting nieghbors to pass. The main stream media has jumped on. Several channels have had specials about 2012. These are respected channels who have fueled the fan with thier documentaries exploring ruins and now from the news article people are heading for the woods. Will this spread like a fire the closer we get to 2012? We will find out.

The millennium was not the real millennium. 2012 is the real millennium. The calendar we use is off by 12 years.

Yes people have had many false doomsday dates come and go, and yes 2012 could be just another one of those. But the changes occurring in our own solar system are not fantasy. They are facts. Something is happening.

It is the nature of time itself that could be changing. I am quite interested in what might happen either way. I don't see it as a bad thing. If I die, I know where I'm going.

JB Change is constant. We and our planet and universe, etc.. and so on, never stops changing. So changes happening is a given, what they will be is the actual question. We cannot know, we can make educated guesses but we do not have that much knowledge yet to predict the changes as accurately as needed.

This is true, change is constant. Perhaps it happens all the time and the only reason it seems unusual now is because we have the ability to see it happening right before our eyes.

I don't think anyone can know what exactly will happen because there are many different outcomes possible. I think we are living at a time where we will see some amazing changes.

All this stuff about 2012 has me very curious. Also what happens may be interpreted many different ways by different observers. Perhaps nothing at all will happen and changes will simply progress slowly and go unnoticed.

I have looked and read about many completely different viewpoints, doctrines, predictions, theories etc. on this and every single one of them point to an event that changes everything. Whether it is at 2012 or not, I do not know.

I am just so excited to be here at this time. I am not sure why.
