They knew its condition ahead of time, yes I'm sure God had other plans. Now they are so very elated. Her husband is taking classes at Regent Univ and she works there doing admin work. All the folks in her dept has been very supportive.

My day's been going well. It was a little chilly here but not to bad. Did some cleaning for awhile. That's about all I did. Not a whole lot to do. Can't go outside and work. I really miss that though. I love working outside in the dirt.

Mmmm, I enjoy yard work and seeing the plants and shrubs thrive. I wish we were allowed to have veggie gardens but I do have a couple of potted tomato plants that produce well.

I planted herbs and tomato plants in big flower pots. I have cherry tomato's and I can't remember the name of the big ones. They are doing pretty good though. My herbs are parsley,and basil. I would like to find some chives too. But they are hard to find in the seed form.

You'd think, with all the veggies that are grown here, there would be farm road stands all ovet - not so. Virtually all the farms and citris groves are Corporate. I miss going to farm markets like we had all over Pa
|

We have alot of the roadside ones in Belleville, It's open country there. Lots of farms. I go when my neighbor can take me. The veg's are pretty resonalbly priced.It's about 5 miles from here.

Very true, we used to go to farm market later in the day. The vendors would be selling a bit cheaper because they wanted to have the produce move, as they would be getting more each day. One of the best deals we got was 3 bushels of broccoli for $5.
We took them home and made spou and froze it in small portions, and enjoyed it for a good while. |

I don't think they grow broccoli here. I've never seen any. I'll have to check at Blocks. They should be opening soon. I hope so.

Mmmm, I love broccoli, asparagus and cauliflower made into soup. Sooo good, esp when you use good heavy cream.

Ohhh, off subject but I saw that greer posted earlier today, so I guess all is well with her.

I love boiled dinners from fresh veg's. Put everything you said plus cabbage, carots, taters, green beans and a little squash and okra. Now that's a good dinner.

OMG - Youre making me hungry, I have a slo cooker made by corning from the late 50's and it does that kind of thing so well. When I get back I'm going to have to make a big pot.
