If you can't be adult enough to be honest about what you are doing, are you really adult enough to make this trip?

List all the things you are doing to make sure you are safe while you are gone (on the chance, slim though it may be, that things don't work out as you thought would)...list all the reasons why you believe this is a good idea (how you know this person is a good one to have in your real life)...make your plans...and then be confident enough to share it all with the people who have loved you and been there for you since before you were born!

Honesty, young one, is always the best policy. There's a reson you've heard that saying before - it's because it is true!

I know everyone is looking out for my safety but I would not go alone (I would take friends)
And he does plan on coming to Indiana in August and truth is I will most likely have to wait till then! Its hard to judge the situation without knowing all the details! But thanks for u guys trying to protect me:heart:

A lie of this magnitude will not go undetected....you'll never get it over on mom and dad and it's a bad way to start out, especially since the longevity of this relationship is seriously in question. I agree with the folks here who say don't go, let him come to you AND meet your parents.

Your mom is looking out for your safety...good for her!!

A guy (or girl, I suppose) can easily put an idea in your head saying they intend to come to you, just not yet... sometimes they know our impatience in wanting love can go against our better judgement and then he won't have to waste his time, because you already have.

The bottom line is, if he feels you're worth it, he'll come to you. If he doesn't, then you know he's not worth your time.

Having patience can save your heart, and sometimes your life.

Theres a guy I wanna meet who lives in Florida, but heres the deal! I cant go to Florida without my mother knowing, and I cant tell her the real reason Im going bc my parents disprove of online dating! I told her I want to go on vacation but she said I only can go if I take friends! (but all my friends are broke!) Anyone have a brilliant (realistic) plan to make this work!?

You still live with your parents, right? You're 19, pretty, and naive still, most likely. Stay close to home, little girl. If you were my kid and living under my roof, you'd find a straight pin between the 12vdc and 5vdc lines to show my lack of approval, or the hard drive missing if I'm feeling particularly nice. Anyone with a reasonable knowledge of electronics would know what happens next.
