I have recently discovered the phenomenon known as 2012, where as the Earth will truly be in the center of the galaxy, according to the Mayan calandar. This might switch the polarity of the earth causing the demise to mankind.
I feel somewhat helpless as I think about it because so many other cultures point to this date claiming it is the day the apocalypse. What are everyones thoughts on Dec. 23, 2012? |

My thought is that as long as the world exists there will always be an end of the world theory around the corner. Don't worry about it and live your life how you normally would instead of shrouded in fear. When the end of the world comes none of us will be around to worry about it anyway so why worry about it now?

I watched a special on that a few months ago...interesting and amazing ppl. I have trouble believing the astronomical calculations of a civilization that could not use it to prevent their own extinction.
 And yet bowls and textiles are what we learn from them...so....

What are everyones thoughts on Dec. 23, 2012? the Mayan calendar and all astrology predictions can all be considered as being somewhat inaccurate because of the non-inclusion of pluto in those predictions or the inclusion of pluto having an effect upon the solar system of a full fledge planet when it has now been labled or have the lesser effect of a dwarf planet |

What I think is interesting is that so many are willing to completely ignore the Bible, but they glomb onto this belief without hesitation. Our solar system will never be at the center of our galaxy, it's on the end of one spiral arm.
