Tina you are so right! My mother gave me a family heirloom that was my great aunts. It was a ruby solitaire. Years later, I took it to the jeweler to be cleaned and he goes, "you do know this is synthetic right?" I said NO!
I never did tell my mother. What point would that have served? It's pretty but it's not real. It just meant a lot to her. |
