yes there is, there is a 6 cell that lasts about 2 hours and a 9 cell thats lasts longer. I just checked into that. so you want the 9 cell but I don't know the cost.

batteries. Is there a laptop battery out there that lasts longer than a couple of hours? Mine only lasts for 2 hours. A lithium cell might have gone bad in your battery, which is causing it to drain faster than it should. Your best bet would be to try to find a replacement. Be careful though, as there have been problems with li-ION batteries catching fire or even exploding due to shoddy construction and engineering. It's bad enough that the batteries are VERY well known for becoming highly unstable when exposed to water...

'til you get a new one, turning off unused apps - in the forground and background, reducing resource use - turn down the brightness, turn off Indexing, etc, goes a long way toward extending battery life. . .
