I've always supported my friends except for one time and that was when I knew the guy was messing around with his x. That really puts one in a bad place.

When you have a friend who is seemingly happy in his/her new relationship, do you support and encourage them, or do you regularly try to find "faults" with the relationship, perhaps out of jealousy, insecurity of losing a friend, or even control issues?

What kind of friend are you?

Congrats...now I can stop buying them both drinks...smokin

noway Yeah, that's bad. So, did you tell her or let her find out on her own?

The guy was one of my husband's close friends. He told the guy, that if he didn't stop it or come clean that he would tell.

Usually either way, they don't believe you or the situation...at least in my experience.

Yep. People want to believe what they want to believe...or, more succinctly, it is what it is.flowerforyou

As long as it's healthy, why wouldn't one support them?

That kind of feedback is deafening. But, to give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she thinks nobody is good enough for you.

A true friend wants them to be happy.......
But if it is a bad person or relationship that is harmful.I would let them know cuz I care and can't watch my friend be hurt or used......

I think, barring anything dangerous like physical abuse, or being unfaithful (and even that is a sticky one of how to handle it) that a friend would support. I don't want toxic people in my life.

What's wrong Montana? Feeling treacly for the notion of unconditional love?

ME TOO.

Nah. It's all good. I just love you and am tired of the haters.
