the idea that eggs are just that - eggs.. never bothered me before.. but I just cracked open what would have been twins.. kind of freaked me out a little! not so much that I wasn't willing to eat my eggs, just enough that it reminded me what I was eating

Girl, I used to work at a bakery. I stopped eating eggs years ago when I cracked open partially fertalized ones all bloody.

some have 4 0r 5 on the farm.we eat them all the time.they sort them and not give them to every one because pepole freak out. i get them from the chickens all the time.

For the most part most states have laws pertaining to eggs and ferlization. Usually only found in Health Food stores and the cartons must be labeled fertilized, otherwise the eggs you normally purchase at a grocery store or eggs laid by hens usually kept in cages with no Male rooster about, so there is no very little chance of cracking open an egg with a partially developed baby chick.
