I was just talking to my 5 year old daughter (she lives with my brother and his wife) and I told her that her Granny (my mom) told me to tell Eileen (the little one) that she loves her and misses her. Eileen got quiet, and I said, "You know Granny loves you." And Eileen said (this was soooooooooooooo darling and made me laugh so hard tears came to my eyes)

"EVERYBODY LOVES ME"laugh laugh  laugh laugh

anyone got a story to share about something that your child said that took you by surprise?

Yes, I remember when my son was little he asked how he was born, and I tried to tell him how it was painful like when he goes to the dentist, and at the end of the story he says "Did you get to pick out a prize afterwards?" That totally made me laugh so hard...flowerforyou

Before the divorce, my wife and I would go to the store, and everyone would compliment us on such "an adorable child" or tell him "how cute" he is.

He has gotten into the habit of letting everyone know "I am the cutest boy EVER, ain't I, Daddy?"

You know how often times you get gifts that come in a rectangular shopping box (generally clothes but not always)?

Well there's a tape in my family, of one of my early Christmases, and when the time came to open up presents on Christmas morning, I opened one such gift, and all I could say was: "IT'S A BOX!" I was fascinated by the Box, nevermind what was inside!

I did that a few more times too that day. I could care less about the presents, I just liked the boxes! laugh

Just like when I was chasing Eileen around the yard......made two rounds around the yard (it's an acre), and I lost my breath, I told Eileen I had to take a break, and she asked," Is it because you're fat?".............................lol

laugh When my son of 4 was eating oreo's, I asked him if he wanted some milk. He nodded. I said you have to say yes please and asked him again. Again he nodded harder. I told him again he had to say yes please and he blurted out, cookie crumbs flying everywhere, "I'm not supposed to talk with my mouth full!"laugh
