This is a poem i wrote the other night. I got bored so i grab a pen and paper and started writing and this is the end result let me know what yall think.


I loved you.
I did.
Fiercely and desperately
and drunkenly,
intoxicated on the force of
my own passion,
believing that mere power
could overcome
simple indifference.

And girls have come since you,
both sweet and cruel.
And some have feigned to mimic you,
but there was no power in them,
no overpowering presence
that blasted the fields
of my Earth,
flooded the rivers with rain
to swell the very seas of my lost hope.

I can claw and scrape away
every last piece of my heart,
but there will still be you,
bruise upon these tattered remains,
mark upon the flesh of my rotting soul,
too intangible to be erased,
too concrete to be denied.
