a - he seems to think this is a date, but that's not what I had in mind, situation and how did you let him down EASY!? No rude stuff please, this is an old friend I asked out to dinner to "catch up" and to comfort after the death of his father, and now I find out that he's crushin' me. Got a gun?

Are you to really good friends with a lot of past? He was my best friends best buddy...so pretty close for several years. I never knew he had a crush on me though until my bf told me today...and that he's calling it a date. Well then you can always talk it up about ya'll's memories and put it in there how great of a friend he is and that you wouldn't want things to change that up. That you respect the friendship and yadda yadda yadda... you know what I mean. I know. That is most likely what will happen naturally...if I can just dial down the angst over the shock a notch.

Tell him if HE goes there? Like hitting on you , that YOU can't think about that right now and he shouldn't be either. Then later let him know YOU don't really think THATS a good idea, as YOU don't feel that away about him, wink, Good luck, and just be there for his talking not his desires, and let him know that..

Screw it go out and have a blast... talk about the past present and future and ignore how he likes you... or just flatter your self that he does... whats the worst that can happen you do not see him again for another 15 years or so.. ha ha ha... enjoy the time.. let us know what happens.. if you dress like you are in the pic your going to knock him dead winkwink... ha ha ha

maybe you're reading too much into this.The guy might just wanna see an old friend No...another friend talked to him on the phone and he said he couldn't believe that he was going on a date with me after all these years. Then the friend informed me that he'd had a huge crush back in school that I never realized.
