So before I go get my self all involved in painting the dead chick that im working on... It goes without saying... Omfg no it does not!! for the love of god and all humanity, does no one else see that that phrase is absolutely nonsensical? if it went without saying, then who would even need that phrase? See the deal is if it actually did 'go' without saying, then it would be unnecessary to say 'it goes without saying...'. and if it indeed does go without saying and you say 'it goes without saying...' then you are a moron, because you are not recognizing the fact that what you just said does not need saying... so i guess with this rant today i have come to the conclusion that idiots will be idiots and keep doing and saying idiotic things that shouldn't be done or don't need to be said. i sure do wish that i didn't have to say that!

Maybe it goes without saying for conversation or small talk purposes? Kind of like "needless to say". Maybe it goes without saying to the person speaking, and not the one listening? Some things aren't as obvious to others.
