i rent a apt. moved in last oct, bought some stuff from the lady next door to my building on created. i owed here 140 dollars,she gave me a bill 13days ago and said we can work it out. on tuesday she came up to my apt. with a cop and took the bed table and 2 chairs, she haves a key from the land lord to show apts,and go in in case of emgermeies only. she told the cop she had promision from my land lord to enter. he told me that she never talked to him. dont know what to do? sorry about spelling ed

If you really want your money back, you could always take her to small claims court and give your side of the story and let her tell her's.

I mean if she just give you a bill 13 days ago and you had so many days left to pay it then why would she be in such a rush to get her stuff back.

But there really isn't much you can do other then taking her to court and give your side of the story and go from there.

I believe they call that trespassing and how can they remove items with out proof of ownership? Hell of a way to learn what’s life really like isn’t it.

Cop or no, what she did was illegal.

The term for that is "illegal entry". Cops or not you said the landlord had not give her permission. She is playing a power game. If you let her get away with it once...who knows how often she has been in your apartment without the cops.

i would have the landlord change the locks and require that all entry into your apartment is done with your permission and with the landlord present.then dont talk to this nutty woman ever again.
