Because they didn't want to call them "kitty rolls", which is what they're made of.

Because the wrapping is made of a mixture of egg and flour, but since there is no yeast, it does not rise. It is rolled and wrapped around vegetables for the classic look that you always see.

Yes, they come in many forms. But if you eat them at a Chinese restaurant, be sure to look for the "kitty-free" sticker on the door. That's all I'm saying.
