XI(day 99) of the time of the sun era

Many hobbits enter the Green Dragon’s Inn as it is the only establishment that offers rooms for their size. These 3 feet halfling’s enjoy their root liquor grapan and are excited for the upcoming Fall Festival.

Five inhabitants have been arrested yesterday for not obeying the curfew laws.

The market place is being transformed as many tents are being set up for the special event. This is the only time in the year where all races actually help each other make this event unique and interesting. A grand firework show will start off as the days come closer!

Calliope slowly opens her eyes, holding her head, "Meow, Meow" her cat walks up on her belly kneading his paws in her belly. "Not now, Pan! You have to stay in the room for awhile." she grabs his head, squeeze gently, rubs his chin, gives him a big kiss..She leaves the room, scurries down the steps and bumps into a group of hobbits...Shocked look on her face, "Hi, uh, um, Welcome fellow hobbits! she holds her head and smiles...

"I shall be with you in a minute" she she walks over to the slate on the wall and chalks in the menu for the day.....

MENU OF THE DAY:

Beef kebabs with assorted browned vegetables
grilled mushroom caps
Creme tarts

*Alatariel comes downstairs and notices all the hobbits running around*

*thinks to herself how much Calliope would love this*

Where is that little troublemaker anyway?

*looks at the door. it is all finished. the carpenter did a good job*

*tries to ignore the bloodstain on the floor but her eyes keep going back to it*

Calliope turns around, "hmm, Alatariel, I hope you rested well."

She motions to the hobbit,"Some Grapan liquor, I assume?" One of the hobbits replies, "Yes my dear, we would enjoy that very much. I see your menu. We shall take the meal of the day." "She nods and smiles, "I shall be back with your meals." she grabs a bottle from behind the bar, puts it in the middle of the table with 3 glasses. "Her you go, sir" she scampers off to the kitchen, stubs her toe, but doesnt react..In the kitchen she sits on the chair holding her foot..."Geez, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch."

*follows Calliope into the kitchen*

Can I help dear? I need to be busy right now.

*gives the hobbit a sad smile*

*Phara walks into the inn with a cool breeze* Boromir a brew please! *Phara is stopping in on her way to work. Boromir serves the drink as usual with a warm smile*


*Phara hears Calliope in the kitchen and another voice, is that Alatariel? *

*Phara walks into the kitchen as she had not seen Alatariel since Jericho's passing*


"Good Day ladies" Phara says softly

"Absolutely, those hobbits in there are going to keep me busy." Calliope sits down at the table with a plate of mushrooms..gobbling them up before she begins.."Can you get some plates from the cupboard and pull the kabobs out of the fire. I need to fetch wood for the fire." She opens the door to the alleyway, looks both ways and goes to the woodpile.

*starts laying out plates*

*turns and pulls out the kabobs*

*Phara hugs both ladies and relays her condolences on the the lose of a dear friend and leaves for work, at the shipyards.*

*places kabobs on the plates*

*turns around and looks for something else to do*

*goes to sink and starts washing the dishes*

*thinks to herself that Calliope must have gotten lost in the woodpile*


*Busies herself with the vegetables*

"Whewf" Calliope comes in with a huge stack of wood, "That was a job, someone knocked the wood pile all over the place in the alley, so I had to re-stack them. ugghh!"

"I was going to tell Boromir that the lanterns need oil, but I havn't seen him." she sighs...

She places the wood in the fire and grabs the long iron rod and shakes up the timbers.

Thanks Phara for the hug, "Hi princess, it was a very sad day yesterday. I had some Grapan liquor and then next thing I know Im waking up in my bed...I dont know how I got there but I was glad that Pan was with me...Which reminds me, I have to bring him fresh water and food."

Oh there you are. I got everything set up. All you have to do is put the vegetables and mushrooms on the plates. the vegetables are almost done. Now I am off. You know I am working for Rathil now. Got to go see if he needs me or has found out anything. See you later you sweet little hobbit.

*exits the kitchen and makes her way out the door*

"Thank you Alatariel, rubs her cheek against the top of her hand, you are so kind." Calliope grabs some chunks of meat and cheese, puts it in her pouch, pours a glass of water and darts as fast as she can out the kitchen door up the steps. The 3 hobbits never saw her because they were chatting about the festival activities.
