I'd usually go visit them or talk to them. If they seemed friendly and welcoming, then I'd ask them out. If they stopped communicating while I was trying to arrange a date, or if they weren't returning my calls, then things'd grind to a halt.

When you're opening yourself up, you risk rejection, but that's OK. If I get rejected, I figure I probably didn't want to date the person anyway and move on to the next project (or person).

If someone's interested in me, they better let me know, cause nine times outa 10 I probably won't take the hint!

I usually just let them know how much I like them... and if they don't ask me out in a reasonable amount of time, I'll suggest meeting for coffee.
