Why do you continue to flood the forum with thread after thread, day in and day out?

You are killing thoughtful debate and interest, dont you think?

I mean its good that your interest can jump from one subject to another so fast, but you are killing the forum.

Just a suggestion, but how about reading as you are, but limit the new threads to those that seem more interesting.

Im not trying to be mean, but I read the newspaper everyday. I come here for debate and to see what others thoughts are.

You have great thoughts, dont get me wrong, but everytime I post and look there are 4 more.

Ah, well, I like to present a wide variety of topics to see those conversations started. Actually it seems to have cut down on threads that denegrate into all out attack posts ( see anything that Madison has posted) and increased the amount of healthy dialogue.
I personally don't feel like I'm killing thoughtful debate at all, in fact, I feel like I'm increasing the amount and breadth of topics that are presented to discuss.

When I started posting here, there were a few people who would post and then they would get jumped by a handful of other people, who would either relegate the person posting to "tin foil hat" wearers or would call them names, such as "comrade", by posting the way I do, complete with source material ( I try anyway) I'm of the opinion that we've opened the debate up to discuss where the Nation is headed, whether thats good or bad and I'm by far more prepared than others to handle and swat down ignorant attack posts.
Now to be fair, I do post alot of different stuff and there can be alot of it on any given day, but I'm not just posting stuff blind, I read everything first, before I post them, so I wouldn't be presenting them if I didn't think that others would find them as intriguing as I do.

I also don't post things and just abandon them to move on to the next topic, I post my thoughts, respond to the thoughts of others and do my best to spark that thoughtful, intelligent dialogue that we both are seeking to find.
I guess we could lay it out here like this: Should I box myself in and stop seeking the thoughts of others on these topics that have made me think and reflect or should I continue to seek out the thoughts and opinions of others to try and broaden the way I look at the changing world around me?

I understand that you read the newspaper, and thank goodness for that, there are very few people who take the time to inform themselves, but alot of other people look to the web to inform themselves,so when you can place such a wide variety of topics and opposing views in one place, isn't that a good thing?

I agree your posts are nothing like Madmans and are accompanied by personal thoughts rather than click and paste.

Well, my point of bringing up madison, is while I might not always agree with his post, he seems to get sh!t on everytime he brings something up, regardless of the content.

I have done the copy and paste, from time to time, but I always try to accompany it with what I think about it.

Part of the sheer amount of posts, probably has to due with the ungodly amount of time I have on my hands.

I can't promise that they'll cut down, but I'll do my best to make sure I'm not just posting crap for the sake of posting.

hey know i must say i like a variety of points to discuss

(we know i just hate a debate)

but sometimes it is overwelming

and few items are really worth the bother

i very seldom go to a link if there is not a line or two discribing what is in the link tho (not who it is by but what is in it)

but when it is it will get attention regaurdless of other posts in the forum

but hey i'm just a crazy old man any way
