Topic: US confession: Weapons were not made in Iran after all | |
---|---|
that spin about Iran and wow they finaly admit.OOOOPS.........a sharp reversal of its longstanding accusations against Iran arming militants in Iraq , the US military has made an unprecedented albeit quiet confession: the weapons they had recently found in Iraq were not made in Iran at all. According to a report by the LA Times correspondent Tina Susman in Baghdad: “A plan to show some alleged Iranian-supplied explosives to journalists last week in Karbala and then destroy them was canceled after the United States realized none of them was from Iran. A U.S. military spokesman attributed the confusion to a misunderstanding that emerged after an Iraqi Army general in Karbala erroneously reported the items were of Iranian origin. When U.S. explosives experts went to investigate, they discovered they were not Iranian after all.” The US , which until two weeks ago had never provided any proof for its allegations, finally handed over its “evidence” of the Iranian origin of these weapons to the Iraqi government. Last week, an Iraqi delegation to Iran presented the US “evidence” to Iranian officials. According to Al-Abadi, a parliament member from the ruling United Iraqi Alliance who was on the delegation, the Iranian officials totally refuted “training, financing and arming” militant groups in Iraq . Consequently the Iraqi government announced that there is no hard evidence against Iran. http://www.campaigniran.org/casmii/index.php?q=node/4886 Did you read the info or just paste it. It says right in the middle that we were told they were from iran by the iraqi's and when we sent our guys in to check them they said they were not. If you ask me the Iraqis want us to attack iran. I know that sounds a little far fetched but think of it this way. Why would they have said that the weapons were from iran and then once our guys said that they werent then the refuted the proof. Im not saying thats what happened but it makes sence. |

Maybe its done on purpose to get us to stay longer. They know elections are coming and daddy Bush will not be there for them. |

Actually you might want to check into that Fanta. The US does sell weapons to a lot of other countries. South American and African countries as well as former Soviet states. Along with training, cash and ammo.
Very little transparency so accurate numbers are difficult to find and some are under the table so they may not even be traceable. Some have even been sold to terrorists in Africa! The same countries where the US was hoping to be getting some oil from. |

Actually, its easy provable, that during the Carter administration, the official policy was to fund, arm and support the "afghan rebels" in their fight against Soviet oppression. They did not simply just give the Rebels (the precursor to Al Qaeda I might add) american weapons, because that could spark a "hot" war with russia. SO, according to Z. Brzezinski, he advocated the policy of buying, or stealing russian made AK's and other Soviet weapons with which to arm the Afghan "Al CIAda" Rebels to Carter and this practice was continued through to Reagan. |

Ive been checking, but there is little transparency other than pretty much what you said, almost all NATO countries use one kind or other of our weapons. I found info that we just sold F-16's to Pakistan, and are fixing to sell them to India. The stats I find mostly deal in dollar figures which considering the price of our weapons is not really an accurate determination. Currently though we have contracts with 25 Nations. Eighteen of which are involved in conflicts around the world, often fighting each other. |
