Okay this sucks. Everyone at work carries a cellphone on them for emergancies I am no exception. However, I am the onlyone whom keeps theirs on SILENT because i dont want it to go off while I am working with patients... Last night after my lunch at some point my phone vanished =( I spent an hour and a half looking for it. I think it ended up in the dumpster otuside of work. Everyone is telling me to call it but i have to tell them its on silent =( SO thats the 3rd cellphone in a year. Im off to buy a new one sad

Obviously your method is not working, try something new. Why not turn the phone off when you are with patients and turn it back on afterwards?

I work in a nursing home. Turning it on after seeing a patient is redundant. Im ALWAYS in with a patient. I keep it on silent and refer to it for a "quick clock" or to see if I have any important messages.

Ita against policy to have your phone on anything other then silent so i try to comply with that =/

Buy an expensive one, you will keep better care of it. I also have insurance that covers if I lose the phone or it gets stolen. That costs like 6 bucks/mo.

Do you have a locker at work? That would help if you are just in one building, but not help if you have to travel in your work
